Public Pushback on Bicycle Routes

Edmonton’s Bicycle route implementation plan has been moving forward since 2010. Despite overall success in adding more bike routes each year, the project has faced public dissatisfaction in some neighborhoods. This discontentment has led the City to revisit its public consultation efforts in a way that allows public input to modify previously determined parameters of the projects such as the location of bike routes and route selection criteria.
