Designing your network infrastructure

The overall network design usually falls to dedicated network engineers within the client organization since they know the complex network landscape best. In smaller organizations, the virtualization engineer or consultant may be called upon for the network design. Either way, it is important to at least know the networking requirements. This way, the virtualization environment can be planned accordingly, regardless of who will be responsible for the actual network component implementation.
