One common and relatively easy-to-implement civility solution is to teach civil communication as a civility in action initiative. Communication is an essential skill for leaders in any sector. But, for supervisors who are responsible for managing teams, such as in hospitality, service industries, retail, or manufacturing, this skill becomes critical. And yet, many organizations do not spend sufficient time and resources ensuring that their leaders are effective communicators.
