Custody services
Abstract
In this chapter we look at the key process of custody and examine the role of the custodian and the types of services provided.
We will explore the core and added value services, the actions by the custodian in the trade life cycle and the custodian’s involvement in areas like managing securities borrowing and lending pools, managing corporate actions events, settlement of trades, cash flows and information provision plus dealing with the customer relationship.
