So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Let’s talk money! If you’ve been part of the Clever Girl Finance community for a while or have read my first two books (Clever Girl Finance: Ditch Debt, Save Money, and Build Real Wealth and Clever Girl: Learn How Investing Works, Grow Your Money), you already know that money is one of my absolute favorite topics!
When you create a solid plan for your finances, then execute it and adjust it accordingly over time, you put yourself in a position where you are able to make your financial goals a reality. Achieving these goals creates options that enable you to live your life on your own terms.
Having multiple streams of income is essential to any financial plan, and as you know, one solid way to add an additional stream of income is by having a side hustle. However, if you don’t have a proper plan in place for your business finances, then the money you earn will find ways to slip through your fingers (which is what money does best if you aren’t telling it what to do!). If that happens, you’ll find that you’ve spent all this time (long hours and no sleep) working a business, and for what?
