Quickly, Yet Slowly

Clients First is a leap of faith. You must take the plunge. You cannot decide to put your Clients First and then say, “After you.”

You must go first. If you are waiting for the world to find its way to your doorstep, you can forget it. But if you step up and make that commitment to Clients First and do the things it demands of you, then the universe will beat a path to your foyer and make you a star. The more you elevate others, the greater your personal ceiling rises.

This change for us came quickly, yet slowly. JoAnn and I made the commitment that night, and we jumped in and devoted ourselves to putting Clients First, and things went well, and we got ourselves out of the way, and we put the monkey down, and everything became easy, and success flowed—but our faith grew much more cautiously. Every time we’d try and every time we’d win, it was like a little miracle, and our faith grew a little more. As time passed and we felt the benefits of people supporting us, we believed even more. Then one day we just knew. We knew the power of Clients First. We felt it deep down, like a fundamental tenet. Clients First was real.
