Introduction
Issues regarding security and risk are drivers for lifecycle management. Interestingly, while the practices and elements themselves become aligned, there is little attention focused on the implications of risk and security regarding the lifecycle decisions themselves.
It is as important to explore each of the lifecycle elements for risk and security issues as it is for optimization. Decisions need to be consciously made, and those implications understood. This chapter introduces yet another set of working guidelines for lifecycle management.
