Introduction

Interoperability and prototyping is the testing and analysis required by both the business and IT to validate that products (hardware/software) work together. From this interoperability and prototyping, standards are created. Interoperability and prototyping is a defined phase in closed loop lifecycle planning.

In this phase, suppliers provide evaluation units to a business so that the business can ensure that the device delivers the specifications required. It is also in this phase that the business can assess the impact of its applications suite on the supplier’s device.
