I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

This chapter aims of providing a glimpse at the challenges cloud computing practitioners and cloud research community are likely to face in the near future. The chapter starts with an overview of these challenges. Real-time applications related to IoT, smart cities, the smart grid, and others will undoubtedly join the broad spectrum of cloud applications and the chapter analyzes some of the challenges posed by real-time scheduling.
Self-organization and self-management alternatives could address some of the challenges posed by the scale of the computer cloud infrastructure, but the very slow progress made by the autonomic computing initiative is likely to dampen the enthusiasm of those believing in self-management. ...
