Chapter 5. Working from Your Data to the Clouds

Let’s step back a bit and look at what we are going to do here. In the next several chapters, I’ll present a rudimentary methodology that extends your enterprise architecture out to the clouds. The basic steps of this methodology include the following:

1. Define the data.

2. Define the services.

3. Define the processes.

4. Define governance.

5. Define which candidate data, services, and processes should live in the clouds and which should live on-premise.
