Managing the deployment and operation of applications and other workloads is critical for meeting customer expectations for availability and performance of the software tools they depend on every day. Managing applications and storage is hard enough in this relatively small context, but the challenge of predictably managing workloads becomes even more challenging in a distributed cloud environment — you must consider new challenges and new technologies. Furthermore, in addition to the public, private cloud, and hybrid cloud (a combination of the public and private cloud), the new computing horizon is multicloud where you can deploy and operate workloads in all cloud contexts.
