This book has focused primarily on the mechanics of putting clusters together. However, in this chapter, I want to take a step back and think about several values (sometimes called “qualities”) that cloud architects usually hold when analyzing implementation options. I call these “values” because these are not directly related to the function of the tasks of the cluster themselves but about more on the meta-aspects of cloud architecture.
