Object storage (S3, Glacier, ecosystem)

AWS offers multiple different types of storage services, such as for block storage, file storage, object storage, and archive storage. Although all of these services are independent of each other and can be used individually, for various use cases, customers make use of multiples of these services together to also provide various storage tiering options. As an example, Amazon EBS is the block storage that's attached to the Amazon EC2 instances for local data persistence as well as processing. Whenever data needed to be shared between multiple EC2 instances as file shares, Amazon EFS comes in handy as the same EFS share can be attached to EC2 instances using the NFS v4.1 interface.
