This short chapter introduces the standards that will be discussed in the next five chapters. These standards address many details, and it is easy to get lost in the minutia of their acronym jungles, losing a coherent overall view. Some readers will skip over many of these details, but it will be easier to understand why these details are important when you reference a large-scale map of these standards (Figure 7-1).
