CMMI Overview

The CMMI is a model, a collection of process and product development best practices, and a framework for process infrastructure. It represents industry best practices and can be used as a roadmap for process implementation and improvement. It is nonprescriptive, in that it explains what processes should be established but does not require specific process designs or implementation methods.
