Two Case Studies
In this chapter, we present two organizations’ approaches to the joint implementation of the CMMI and Six Sigma. These cases are complementary and reflect different organizational characteristics as well as different improvement strategies and tactics.
Both organizations benefited from innovative and visionary thinking, with one showcasing innovations in process design strategy and the other showcasing innovations in deployment and training. Both exemplify the imperative of multimodel process improvement, and together, they show that there are multiple paths to success.
