Quantitative Project Management: A Project Management Process Area at Maturity Level 4


The purpose of Quantitative Project Management (QPM) is to quantitatively manage the project to achieve the project’s established quality and process performance objectives.


In the CMMI for Services Model, this process area is called Quantitative Work Management.


QPM helps a project migrate from using the rear view mirror to manage the project to using predictive, forward-looking approaches to help steer the project to success.
