In this chapter, we will discuss creating, updating, and releasing a Quality Management System (QMS). We will also learn which teams the QMS is created for. For some, not only might QMS represent a new word, but its purpose might be unfamiliar, as well. If that’s the case for you, it is recommended that you read about QMS from a CMMI appraisal perspective (see Chapter 6) because that will make it much easier to understand in the context of this chapter.
