About the Author

Angelo Rivetti received his degree in Physics from the University of Torino, Italy in 1995 and the Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of the same town in 2000. From 1998 to 2000 he worked at CERN on the implementation of radiation tolerant integrated circuits in commercial deep submicron CMOS technologies. From 2000 to 2001 he was assistant professor with the Faculty of Physics of the University of Torino. In December 2001 he joined the Italian National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN), where he developed VLSI front-end circuits now in use in the ALICE and COMPASS experiments at CERN.
