Inquiry

What does the word inquiry conjure up in your mind? A scientist, or at least anyone who holds the view that the truth is out there to be discovered, might interpret the word as meaning a rigorous investigation to determine what is true. It is a fair understanding. In the context of co-design practice in complex systems, we suggest that the idea of inquiry is more usefully understood as a process of developing relationships and learning through the process of asking questions.
