Space

What is space? Much of what we understand by space comes from our immediate sensory experience of the Earth—the land, sky, mountains, trees, and rivers. As soon as we open our eyes we see space, and if we reach out our hand we can touch space. Geometry (meaning Earth and measurement) is a branch of mathematics concerned with the properties of space—in terms of points, lines, surface, and solids, or more simply, shapes.
