Complexity
This book is an exploration of complex systems, like health care and education, which are designed to address some of the biggest dilemmas we face as human beings. Complexity is one of those words that has crept into common parlance from more technical usage in science and mathematics. Today, everything is “complex”—it is the word to define our times. It is therefore difficult to put a finger on what complexity tells us about ourselves and the world. Is it something we should fear or celebrate? There are a few ways we can think about this.
