What to do when someone isn’t seeing clearly

We would love to think our minds are like a judge in court taking on board all the facts and weighing up the evidence before coming to a well-considered conclusion. Or that our mind is clear enough to create accurate memories like photographs. Not true. The evidence is that our minds are much more like a lawyer, selective and deliberately emphasising facts and events that support our pre-established narrative.
