Building a Shared Vision
One person's passion creates momentum in a project or a career. Multiply that passion up into a family, team, group, organisation or nation, and it can become extraordinarily infectious and a powerful agent for change. Great organisations, whatever their size, combine and harness individuals talents in ways that acknowledge individual contribution as part of greater successes.
You can guide clients to build visions and mission statements, strategies and plans that:
- State core beliefs and values
- Recognise the organisation's contribution to employees, customers, clients, the public and other stakeholders
- Share the strategic direction that the organisation is heading in
- Present a plan of action for how to implement the vision, using the organisation's talents and resources
Why do some visions remain just a loose, intangible concept while others create enthusiastic followers who make them happen? Although many factors affect business success, great visions engage and motivate people when they incorporate a sense of passion and purpose that enables everyone to access their own passion and purpose.
