Only one menu item doesn’t yet work as it should in the Vermont Recipes application: the Vermont Recipes Help menu item. The existing Vermont Recipes Help command, provided by the MainMenu.nib file in the Cocoa document-based application template, does work, but as is true of all Cocoa applications by default, it only presents an alert panel explaining, “Help isn’t available for Vermont Recipes” (Figure 11.1). You’ve probably seen similar alerts on applications undergoing beta testing, but this isn’t acceptable for a finished application.
