How do you name? The naming technique for each of these items will depend on any coding standard you’re working to. However, while a standard might mandate certain naming conventions, it won’t be specific enough to guide the appropriate naming of each and every part of a program.
In order to name well, it’s essential to know exactly what you’re naming before you think up a name for it. If you don’t know what you’re naming, how it will be used, and why it actually exists, how can you give it a meaningful name? Bad names are often a sign of poor understanding.
