Abstract
The word cognition was derived from Latin and Greek origin. Cognition is the ability to understand the information that we receive from different sources (perception, experience, beliefs, etc.) in the environment, process it and convert it into learning. This context of the term refers to the human cognition with the help of neurons. Over the years humans have realized computers have a potential to mimic them when they are highly programmed for that processing of structured and unstructured data set, they output it with integrated hardware and tool. Now you can understand the vision behind cognition of data by computers i.e. cognitive computing. The technology was implemented first in the Second World War but since the computers did not have large memory and processing capability back then, people lost hope in the future of cognition. Now when the computers are becoming compact, powerful and fast day by day, cognition models have started to take shape in various fields like medical sciences, industries, physical systems and big data analysis.
