PARROT
When drawing animals, it’s a good idea to use photo references as guides. It’s nearly impossible to find an animal that will sit still long enough for you to draw it from life (except maybe a sloth). For this parrot, I use a limited palette of six colors to bring to life its vibrant green and yellow feathers. Drawing the parrot’s head at a tilted angle like this gives the composition more interest.
