GIRAFFE
Complimentary colors are often used in art as a way of making drawings and paintings more interesting and lifelike. Most of the colors in this giraffe are what you would expect: warm yellows, browns, and oranges. The addition of blue to the shadows on the giraffe’s face is an unexpected choice, but it really adds to the overall effectiveness of the drawing. It not only darkens the shadows, but it also makes the other colors appear more vibrant and natural.
