Colour in interior design

Abstract:
Our reactions to colour are largely unconscious, yet it has the power to affect our quality of life and our wellbeing. This chapter outlines the important colour considerations taken by an interior designer in the process of creating effective colour schemes for residential and commercial spaces, including personal colour preferences, cultural, geographic and economic influence, trends forecasts and applied colour psychology. The knowledge, skills, tools, processes and personal flare that designers use are discussed.
