CCHP Thermal Energy Storage

Abstract

Since usually surplus heat is wasted in heating systems and basic CCHP cycles in particular, storing surplus heat for reuse at a later time can increase the advantages of the CCHP system. In this chapter the principal of thermal energy storage (TES) systems is introduced and the CCHP cycle designed in previous chapters is equipped with a TES system.
