Coal Combustion in CO2/O2image Atmosphere

Abstract

The performance of two different burner designs, single central orifice (SCO) and single annular orifice (SAO), was examined under oxycoal conditions in a downfired oxycoal pilot plant. Based on detailed in-flame measurements combined with CFD predictions, the main parameters influencing the stability of an O2/CO2image pulverised coal swirl flame were identified and investigated.
