Abstract
Analysis of the performance potential of turbofan-powered aircraft throughout the mission profile is carried out using standard techniques. Range in cruise and the factors influencing it are presented. Takeoff performance is addressed, including the ground run, air run, continued takeoff with single engine failure, aborted takeoff with single engine failure, and determination of the balanced field length. The climb profile is presented including determination of time, distance, and fuel to climb. The descent profile includes time, distance, and fuel to descend.
