Creating an Environment for Commercial Data Analysis

Abstract

This chapter discusses two approaches to using computer software programs for commercial data analysis. There are the powerful, integrated tools with higher price tags, which tend to be used by multinational companies, banks, insurance companies, large retail stores, large online application providers, and so on. These tools often require the assistance of consultants or the manufacturers as support for utilizing them and are best for high data volumes and data base integration.
