Chapter 10
Raising Capital and Forming Partnerships
In This Chapter
Raising capital to fund your investments
Creating a circle of potential investors for your next deal
Putting together effective partnerships
For most people, if they’re going to do big deals, they need to raise the funds to make it happen. In this chapter, we explain how to fund your deals without using your own capital. Our favorite method of raising the money needed to fund a deal involves finding other investors who can provide the private funds that you need. When funding a deal with private funds, you need to have the following:
A great deal that you’re excited about and that is under contract
A Rolodex full of people who know you and your character
A system that allows you to get the word out about your pending deal
