The following glossary is provided as an easy reference to testing terms used within this book.

A/B testing Using two versions (A and B) of the user interface to accomplish identical tasks so that the resulting usability metrics can be compared to determine which version of the user interface is more usable[109]

analysis (verification) The verification method in which established technical or mathematical models or simulations, algorithms, or other scientific principles and procedures are used to provide evidence that a work product (for example, a document, a software application, or a system) meets its specified requirements
