This chapter describes the attributes and operations provided for IPP subscription objects. IPP subscription objects provide the basis for event notification in IPP. The mailto, indp, and ippget notification schemes are discussed.
What Is a Subscription Object?
A subscription object is an event notification service. Each subscription object contains the address (URI) of a notification recipient, a subscription scheme or method, and a list of events in which the subscriber is interested.
