WE’VE GOT A LIMITED AMOUNT of time to engage in smart risks. To risk wisely, we need curiosity about how fear affects us. It exerts considerable influence on our thoughts and deeds, and so deserves our respect. It’s helpful to deduce where it’s coming from and why it’s here when it visits. It becomes self-defeating only when we scoot over and offer fear the upper hand. Stay in the driver’s seat so you can navigate beyond the safe route.
