How well do you listen? Do you usually find it easy to pay attention and understand what someone else is saying? Or are there often times when you think you've listened and understood only to find out that actually, you hadn't. You'd misunderstood; because of your own biases and assumptions, prejudices and judgements you'd distorted the meaning of what the other person was saying.
Perhaps there are times when you know you've listened – you've been paying attention – but you don't understand what the other person is talking about; you're trying to make sense of what they're saying but it's not clear and you're confused.
