I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
6 Computers in communications
The term, Command, Control, and Communications (C3), which is often associated with military communications, epitomises the applications of computers and microprocessors in telecommunications. After less than 50 years of development of the electronic computer, telecommunications channels are no longer provided just for computer-to-computer communications. The ubiquitous microprocessor now finds applications within many of the traditional user terminals. Systems such as the telephone now contain such a device to control and manage dialling and message handling, while larger computers can control the whole system.
