8.1 Introduction

Reading, basically, is a physical process of comprehending a text using our eyes. However, reading becomes studying when it is done with the involvement of all the mental faculties of concentration, comprehension and analysis. Studying involves the practices of answering questions, note taking, note making, summarizing, reading the text more than once and analyzing the written words thoroughly.
