Question (Q): Where does your interest in competitions stem from? How have you been involved in competitions (and what kind of competitions – open/restricted) so far?
Tom Bloxham (TB): We are big advocates of architecture competitions; they are a wonderful way of unearthing new talent in architecture as well as a great way to explore a number of design options. Ultimately, we’re big fans of architects, and our developments come from creative processes with great design minds; we’re the client whose schemes have won the most RIBA Awards, and that’s in part because of the architects with whom we work.
