Abstract

For competitive intelligence operations it is recommended to work in a process-oriented way. There are different types of competitive intelligence operations, from the completely ad hoc to continuous regular scanning and analysing. A model for working in a structured and systematic way is the competitive intelligence process cycle PCMAC: Plan and Prioritise, Capture, Manage, Analyse and Communicate.
