Abstract
Intelligence is more than information and enough time and effort should be devoted to the analysis phase of the competitive intelligence cycle. Analysing can be done with ‘qualified guesses’ or proven methods. The purpose of the competitive intelligence operations and the expected outcome determine which analytical tools we use. When the analysis is completed it should be communicated effectively. The primary and secondary target groups must be identified and it must be decided which method of communication will appeal to which target group.
