Knowledge management – a vital component of competitive intelligence
Abstract
The scope of this chapter covers knowledge management, knowledge sharing and competitive intelligence. It looks at the differences and the synergies between knowledge management and competitive intelligence and how knowledge adds value to the intelligence process. It defines different aspects of knowledge sharing such as time and space, puts knowledge management into strategic perspective for the organisation, as well as covering the need for knowledge sharing to have a structured IT system and organisational tools.
