Over time you will likely develop several board characteristics that you have used but not every board uses all of them. For example you might have two or three board outlines you often use, but the layer stack-ups are different from one board to the next. Perhaps you have different technology files you use and have several mechanical symbols or drawing symbols that you need to select from, but they also vary from board to board.
