Chapter 6. Operating systems
The Operating Systems domain covers approximately 33 percent of the A+ 220-802 exam. You are expected to be familiar with Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 operating systems, although you’ll find that the focus is on Windows XP and Windows 7. Windows 8 is not covered by the CompTIA objectives. You’re expected to know the features and requirements of these operating systems and be able to install and configure them. This domain includes the command prompt, and you should be familiar with a wide variety of command-line tools.
