In this chapter, you’ll learn about many of the common features of laptops. Laptops often have special keys on the keyboard that are used to enable and disable hardware. Their displays are similar to regular monitors, but some have additional hardware not included in other monitors. Some hardware is relatively easy to install and replace, but other components can be quite challenging, especially if you don’t follow some basic processes for disassembling the laptops. You’ll also learn about methods used to conserve power on these systems and some key things to look for when troubleshooting them.
