Tested Skill Areas

CompTIA is very specific regarding the particular skill areas you will be tested on. These skill areas are known as Domains. There are eight primary Domains you need to be familiar with. The eight Domains and their percentage of the overall exam are listed below. Each of these Domains are broken down into specific subsections, which are also listed below, that identify exact criteria possibly covered on the real exam. No cram session guide would be complete without specifying exactly what could be covered on the real exam. There are literally thousands of areas you could actually be tested on and expected to know inside and out. The fact is, one who wishes to take and pass this exam and ultimately achieve the title of a CompTIA A+ certified IT Technician, Remote Support Technician, or a Depot Technician must have specific knowledge and hands-on experience with the following list of CompTIA Domains and their subsections:
