I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

The CompTIA Network+ certification exam expects you to know how to
• 1.5 Explain common ports and protocols, their application, and encrypted alternatives
• 1.6 Explain the use and purpose of network services
• 4.4 Compare and contrast remote access methods and security implications
• 5.3 Given a scenario, use the appropriate network software tools and commands
To achieve these goals, you must be able to
• Describe common Transport and Network layer protocols
• Explain the power of port numbers
• Define common TCP/IP applications such as Telnet, SSH, e-mail (SMTP, POP3, and IMAP4), databases, FTP, HTTP, and HTTPS
